This Privacy Policy describes how Petal Trail handles information. Petal Trail is an offline caterpillar arcade game. No account or sign-in is required.

Information used on your device

The game stores unlocked levels, earned lifelines, claimed level bonuses, sound and vibration settings, and the current saved game in local app storage. Saved games include the level, direction, moves, collected seeds, caterpillar body and remaining seeds. This information is used to save and resume gameplay.

Quiz answers are used to show immediate feedback. The app does not store a history of quiz answers or send them to the developer.

Collection and sharing

Petal Trail does not send gameplay data, personal information or device identifiers to the developer. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photo library.

The game does not require internet access and does not include an internet permission. It does not provide cloud saves, in-app accounts, purchases or subscriptions.

Optional offline backups

Settings → Progress backup offers optional Export progress and Restore progress. You can play without using these features.

Export writes a .petalbackup file to a location you select through the Android file picker. The file contains the local game progress and settings listed above. Restore reads only the file you select, checks its format, shows a summary and asks for confirmation before replacing your progress. The app does not request access to all files on your device.

Backup files are not automatically uploaded or sent to the developer. They are not encrypted. Keep them safe and only share them with people you choose. If you copy or share a backup through another app or service, that service handles the copy under its own policies.

Storage, retention and deletion

Local progress remains in app storage until it is replaced, you clear the app’s storage in Android Settings, or you uninstall the app. This version does not enable Android automatic app backup.

Exported backup files are separate from app storage. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the game does not delete those exported files. Delete them manually using your Files app, including any copies you made elsewhere. Restoring a backup brings its saved data back into the app.

There is no online game account or server-held gameplay profile to delete. Without a previously exported backup, the developer cannot recover progress removed from the device.

Security

The game uses Android app-private storage for its local save and user-selected file access for backups. Backup files have a format check and checksum to detect accidental damage; these do not encrypt the file or prevent deliberate editing. No storage method can guarantee complete security. Protect your phone and your backup files.

Support messages

If you choose to email dhilipkumar3140@gmail.com, the developer receives your email address and the information you include so that your question can be answered. Avoid sending passwords, signing keys or other sensitive information. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any necessary follow-up or legal obligations. You may request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing the same address. Your email provider and the developer’s email provider also process email under their own policies.

Children’s privacy

The game does not ask players, including children, to provide personal information. There is no in-game chat or sign-in. If a parent or guardian believes personal information was sent to the support email, contact dhilipkumar3140@gmail.com to request assistance or deletion.

Google Play, Android and this webpage

Google Play and Android may independently process information when you download or use their services, according to their own privacy policies and device settings. Petal Trail does not receive this information through an in-app analytics service.

When you view this policy as a public webpage, its hosting provider may process ordinary web-request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the page. That website access is separate from the offline game. The policy page supplied with the app contains no analytics scripts, advertising or third-party fonts.

Changes and contact

If the game’s information practices change, this policy will be updated with a new date. Review the policy available in Settings and the current public policy page for changes.
